January, 2010. Blue Smoke Entertainment Systems was at The Mirage Hotel Penthouse Suites during CES and T.H.E. Show. Expanded high-resolution capabilities of The Black Box™ were debuted, included the playback of full bit-rate SACD/DVD-A music files that have been recorded and stored. Blue Smoke showed Rockport Technologies. The folks from Stereophile spent a lot of time learning about the capabilities of The Black Box™.
January, 2010. The Black Box™ was also used by several well-respected manufacturers in their displays at CES and T.H.E. Show.
The Black Box™ was part of a remarkable system with B'Alabo electronics, Tidal loudspeakers, and Echole cables. This system garnered much attention and accolades: "Best of Show" (Audio Beat), "One Of Best Sound of Show" (Magazine Audio), and "Best of CES 2010" (StereoTimes).
January, 2009. The Black Box™ was well-received at CES 2009. Bob Harley of Absolute Sound was "completely blown away" by the setup, and he named our exhibition (with Rockport Technologies, Ypsilon, MSB and HRS) one of the "Best of CES 2009". Read about it.
The SoundStage! Network was also impressed and recognized us as one of the Standout Demos at CES 2009. "Not only did this system image like crazy, but you could almost sense the performer's fingers flying over the guitar's frets as the notes flew by. The resolution was astonishing." Read more.
January, 2009. Andrew Payor of Rockport Technologies states: "The absolute lack of sonic digital artifacts, combined with an incredible textured and harmonically coherent presentation was clearly akin to the very best analog, albeit with a level of convenience that's almost shameful!"
December 7,2008. Blue Smoke Entertainment Systems has proudly accepted an invitation to join with other industry-leading manufacturers to participate in the "The World's Best Audio System 2009" (TWBAS). This exciting event is being led by Jeff Fritz, Managing Editor of SoundStage! We will be joining some of the most respected audiophile manufacturers, including Rockport Technologies, Harmonic Resolution Systems, Shunyata, and others. November, 2008. Blue Smoke Entertainment demonstrated at CES in January 2009 with Rockport Technologies and Ypsilon Electronics, using an HRS isolation system.
