What
makes Blue Smoke
Entertainment Systems different?
At Blue Smoke Entertainment Systems, we
approached the development of a music server with a different design
philosophy than other manufacturers. This philosophy has
enabled us to truly outperform other digital front-end
products
on the market, and has allowed us to offer the
discerning audiophile a new level of sound reproduction
previously unheard of at such a reasonable price.
So what is our design philosophy?
For one, we did not start off with
the concept that "digital was bad" and needed to be
fixed. We started from the perception that the digital data on
the CD was good, and was simply not being reproduced properly
by, what are
at their very heart, analog technologies. We also set out to
produce a
no-compromise system which caters to the unique needs of a
digital signal,
providing as clean and clear a digital audio path as possible.
At Blue
Smoke, we understand digital, what makes it work, and what can
kill the
signal. Through the Black Box, we ensure that the signal is as
the
recording engineer intended it to be heard, without the
signal-loss and
distortion common in even the current generation of audiophile
front-ends.
Additionally, we rejected the traditional approach of creating
a
"closed-system." While this benefits the manufacturer, it
never benefits
the customer. The Black Box is a truly open system and can be
extended in
ways not possible with competing systems. The Black Box also
handles
digital audio differently than other systems, relying on
high-end,
high-quality processing components as opposed to inexpensive
discrete audio
chipsets. The difference when the sound hits your ears is
immediately
apparent.
