The DAC IV is a cutting edge, statement product designed by MSB's fanatical engineering team. Unlike virtually all other DACs available today, the DAC IV does not use any off-the-shelf DAC chips or digital filter chips. Everything is designed and built in house including digital filters, reclocking scheme and other special internal processes that takes advantage of the extraordinary performance of MSB's proprietary hyper bandwidth DAC modules.
The DAC IV is offered in three models:
In the Platinum configuration the DAC IV offers unprecedented performance value. It comes standard with MSB's 2nd Generation dual 24 bit 100 Mbit/sec sign magnitude R2R ladder DAC with four discrete converters.
The ladder DACs included in the Signature DAC IV can run at twice the speed with half the settling time as the standard Platinum DACs. Additionally, the Signature DACs reduce noise level to 1/3 that of the Platinum DACs and provide 140 db signal-to-noise ratio.
